UN Peacekeepers' Day 2021

UX / Product Design | 2021

{UX Designer @ United Nations} | Winner of Global Marketing Awards 2021 - Nonprofit

The International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers, 29 May, offers a chance to pay tribute to the uniformed and civilian personnel’s invaluable contribution to the work of the Organization and to honor more than 4,000 peacekeepers who have lost their lives serving under the UN flag since 1948. In 2021 I had the opportunity to assist idealizing and produce the campaign that ended up winning a Global Marketing Award in 2021, Global Marketing Awards 2021, organized by the world renowned British Publicity Agency Don’t Panic Projects.

A Winning Game Plan for the Peacekeepers’ Day 2021

As the lead Product Designer for the United Nations’ Peacekeepers’ Day 2021 campaign, I played a pivotal role in creating a successful social media campaign. The objective of the campaign was to engage and inspire youth around the world, using a concept of “roadmap for the everlasting peace” that was aligned with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals visuals.

In this role, I was responsible for the end-to-end design process, from ideation and conceptualization to final execution. I worked collaboratively with the project team, which included strategists, copywriters, and social media experts. I led the team to create an innovative and engaging visual concept that intertwined traditional and digital elements, drawing inspiration from the playful and ludic feeling of a board game.

Despite the challenges posed by the global pandemic, the campaign was successfully launched and achieved a high level of engagement and positive feedback, being the winner of the Global Marketing Awards on the nonprofit category for 2021.
